What is the “Many at location” pin?

How do I search for a meeting?
(1) Put the location of the meeting in the “Enter a location” box and press return or the magnifying glass. Location can be very general (a country or state) or very specific (full address). After a slight delay, the map will reposition to that location. Below the map, meetings will be listed in order of distance from the search location. Meetings that do not provide a location can be found by entering 30, -40 into the “Enter a location” box.

I did a search for a meeting. The map scrolled/zoomed to that location, but where are the results of the search?
Beside seeing meeting on the map close to your search location, your search also displays a the list of meetings below the map window. This list is ordered according to distance from your search location.
How do I print a list of meetings?
Click on a centrally located meeting (see “Many at location pin,” if necessary) and click on each green plus below the map to expand each entry. Then use the print feature of your browser.
What is an “In Person Only” meeting?
These are traditional SA meetings where members meet at a physical location. To attend these meetings you must travel to the location of the meeting.
What is an “Virtual Only” meeting?
This is a meeting that does not have a face-to-face meeting component. These include Zoom only meeting, phone only meetings, and any other meeting using only an electronic means to communicate.
What is a “Hybrid” meeting?
These meetings have both a face-to-face component and a way for people to join the face-to-face meeting virtually via some electronic communication.
What are the “Day”, “Language”, and “Venue” selection lists?
These are filters for the map (and list below the map). They allow you to filter the meetings shown based on one or more of these selections.
For example: If you select “Wed” and “Spanish”, the map and list below the map will show only meetings that are on Wednesday and are conducted in the Spanish language.
I’m not finding a meeting I attend. Where is it?
There are several possibilities:
- The meeting was not submitted to SAICO. To add/change meeting info see: Meeting Problems or Changes
- The meeting does not want its location displayed or forgot to select “Publish” for the details it does want displayed.
- The meeting has no physical location information provided (or allowed to be published). If this is the case, search for location “30, -40”. This “virtual Island”, in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, is where put all meetings that do not list any physical location. Search here either by clicking on one of the pins on virtual island or enter “30, -40” as the location to search then browse the search list below the map to find the meeting. If you also select other filter criteria (Day, Language(s), Venue) it can make it easier to find a meeting on this “virtual Island”.
Only some information is shown in the popup when I click on a meeting on the map. How do I see more details about the meeting?
If you search (“Enter location”) for the location of the meeting, the list of meetings below the map shows meetings starting with the closest meeting to the location (and going outward). Find the meeting in that list and click the little Green “+” icon next to the meeting name. Other information about the meeting will be shown.
